I miss more time with Diablo 4 before the premiere on June 6? Blizzard may just be on the same wavelength.
In response to a fan’s statement that they would like to spend more time with Diablo 4, the game’s official Twitter account responded with a brazen “this can be arranged.” Naturally, this sparked speculation that the much-anticipated hack-n-slash might get another period of open beta before launch.
This comes shortly after Blizzard confirms Diablo 4 livestreaming today (April 20) at 11am PST / 8pm BST. According to the official Twitter account, this developer update stream will contain details Diablo 4 endgame, first open beta feedback and more. That “more” could be details of new areas, bosses, and playable classes, or hopefully confirmation of a second open beta.
Devilishly good time
Personally, I hope we get a second open beta Diablo 4. While I was only able to play the first solo, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the early chapters of the game. By opting for the Sorcerer class, I felt much more powerful than in the early hours Diablo 3, so I feel fourth position is on track to beat perfect Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls experience.
This time I am also a big fan of the artistic direction. The grainy undertones and buckets of blood sell Diablo’s world better than Blizzard’s usual stylized aesthetic. It’s reminiscent of the first Diablo title and I’m all for it.
Diablo 4 the release date of June 6 (June 2 if you bought early access) isn’t a million miles away. But fans are clearly enthusiastic about enjoying the game one more time before its release. And I really hope the second open beta goes through. Not only because I like the game, but also because street fighter 6 will be released on June 2. I’m sorry, Blizzard, but this is a priority for me.
