We’ve already heard a lot about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro – enough to make us eagerly await the arrival of the next-gen wearables – and today we have more leaky renderings to look at.
By courtesy 91 cell phones (opens in a new tab)the renders show both smartwatches and a total of five different colors, ahead of the grand presentation of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (expected on August 10).
The leak matches the images we’ve seen before on the web, while also adding a few more angles for us to look at. Although the designs do not differ much from their predecessors, they have been slightly refined in places.
Colors and battery
It would seem that we get at least the Pro model in black and gray, and the standard in black, rose gold and what looks like a shade of Bora Purple, in which the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone has just been made available.
We recently heard about these wearables that the new watches will be roughly the same price as the current models, although the Pro model (known as the Classic model last year) is expected to significantly increase battery life.
These shots also seem to confirm another earlier rumor, namely that the rotating bezel on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be abandoned when it transforms into the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro – which is a shame as it was a handy method of operating the watch.
Analysis: What do we expect on August 10
Probably on August 10 there will be a cornucopia of new equipment from Samsung. The tech giant has already confirmed that it is organizing a product launch event that day, and also throws up a lot of tips on what to expect.
And where Samsung has yet to provide information, leaks have filled the gaps: check out the recently revealed renders of the upcoming foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 phone, for example, which showcase an attractively neat aesthetic.
Add it all up and it feels like we’re going to get the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro – at least.
This is an impressive list of products that will likely grab the attention of Apple, Google, and all of Samsung’s other competitors in a variety of categories. As for the Samsung Galaxy S23, it probably won’t see the light of day until January.
