Now we’ve seen Outlaws from Star Wars First time recording from the engine.
Kay Vess and her little creature companion lurk in the dingy nooks and crannies of an unlicensed chop shop before engaging in an all-out blaster fight. It looks like the upcoming game will feature some light stealth elements similar to what Ubisoft offers guard dogs franchise, taking a completely different approach to the popular Respawn Jedi from Star Wars series.
Light parkour is in play and vehicles are part of the experience as Vess rides a land speeder, chased and shot at by galactic scoundrels. It seems to have some similarities with Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. Really, the game world Outlaws from Star Wars is more expansive than anything ever seen with a license, as the main character enters a heavily populated city that bears a striking resemblance to the famous Tatooine Dunes.
Vess shares a lot of DNA with Star Wars villains like Han Solo, as seen at one point when he pulls a blaster on someone in the commissary to settle a dispute. It appears Outlaws from Star Wars will be a much more morally drab title than the earlier light and dark sides of the series.
This is compounded by the sought-after system, which seems to work in a similar way to in-game rewards Red Dead Redemption Games. Things take a turn for the worse as they take to the air, confirming that spaceships can be boarded at any time and travel freely. Real-time dog fighting has also been confirmed, which hasn’t been a feature of the game since EA Star Wars: Squadronsa game that was all about airships.
For such a short look at the game, the latter Outlaws from Star Wars the trailer reveals a lot about the characters, scenery, and the types of things we’ll be able to do across the galaxy, both good and bad. It’s a refreshing take on a formula where we can commit crimes and operate outside of Jedi and Sith genre conventions.
The momentum behind Star Wars Outlaws is undeniable, as this title has the potential to become one of the best open world games to date. We give you everything you need to know E3 2023 because great reveals and events are raging right now.
